KOCHI: Film stars Prayaga Martin and Sreenath Bhasi, suspected to have met gangster Om Prakash and participated in a rave party, gave statements to police on Thursday. Both of them testified having no acquaintance with Om Prakash.

Sreenath appeared at Maradu station and Prayaga at the Assistant Commissioner's office in Ernakulam South. Sreenath Bhasi, who arrived at 12 noon, was interrogated till 5 pm. Sreenath said it was at the behest of Binu George that he reached the room but had no idea about Om Prakash's presence. Sreenath admitted to having financial dealings with Binu George.

After interrogation, Prayaga Martin told the media that she reached the hotel to meet her friend. Prayaga said it was only through media that she came to know about gangster Om Prakash and stated not spotting him inside the room.

“I meet many people daily and it is nearly impossible to do the background check of all. The rumours spreading about me on social media are false. I have answered all questions asked by police but won’t be extending that courtesy to media questions." said Prayaga.

Prayaga reached Ernakulam South police station at 5.30 pm and left at 7.45 pm. Actor and lawyer Sabumon accompanied her. The police concluded that it was Binu who brought the cocaine to the drunken party in Kochi.

Three people, including a couple related to Binu, were interrogated the other day. 14 more will be questioned. The interrogation was led by ACP Rajkumar Purushothaman.
