THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Central Meteorological Center has said that there is a possibility of heavy rain in two districts of the state. Orange alert has been declared in Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam. Yellow alert was on in both these districts in the morning. The warning is that there is a possibility of heavy rain in many places in the districts in the evening.
Yellow alert has been announced in six districts today. Yellow alert has been issued in six districts namely Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki and Thrissur. There is no rain warning in Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod. A chance of rain with strong winds is forecast.
Yellow alert has been declared in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki and Thrissur districts on October 12 Saturday and in Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur and Palakkad districts on Sunday 13 October. The State Disaster Management Authority informed that those living in the areas prone to landslides, landslides and mountain floods should move to safer places as per the instructions of the authorities. Residents living in river banks and downstream areas of dams should also anticipate the danger and evacuate as per the instructions of the authorities.
People living in houses with weak roofs should be especially careful because of the possibility of strong winds. The State Disaster Management Authority also said that those who see danger should contact the authorities and move to safer places.
