KASARGOD: Auto driver Abdul Sattar had committed suicide after former Kasargod town SI P Anoop refused to release his autorickshaw.
A new video has surfaced where SI Anoop can be seen grabbing another auto driver by the neck. As soon as the visuals came out, the SI was suspended from the service by the DIG of the north zone subject to an investigation.

The visuals of SI Anoop dragging Noushad out of the auto, attacking him and shouting are being circulated on social media. The incident happened last June. Noushad had reached the station and met the officials. The SI's attack took place when Noushad reached his autorickshaw parked outside the station afterwards to pick up his phone. In the video, driver Naushad can be seen telling the SI that he is not an accused in a ganja case or an accused in a murder case to be treated like this. Naushad has lodged a complaint against the SI with the police complaint cell.
