ALAPPUZHA: A complaint has been filed for cutting a girl's hair during a programme organized as part of the club's Vijayadashami celebrations in Preethikulangara. She noticed her hair cut only when she returned home after the celebrations. It is not clear who did it. The girl, a nursing student, and her family have lodged a complaint with the police.

The incident happened last night. A section of her hair has been cut off. It is not clear when it was cut and who is behind it. Local residents attended the programme at the club. Therefore, it is assessed that there is less chance of the perpetrators being outsiders. Doubts are also raised whether someone from the girl’s family having an enmity with them is behind the incident. The Mannancherry police have started an investigation.
