KOCHI: A case has been registered against actor Sreenath Bhasi. The case was registered on the complaint of a native of Mattancherry in Ernakulam that Sreenath Bhasi did not stop his vehicle after the accident. The actor was arrested in connection with the incident and later released on station bail. The incident took place a few days ago. According to the complaint lodged with the Mattancherry police, Sreenath Bhasi did not stop his vehicle after hitting the complainant.

Meanwhile, the police said that no serious sections have been charged against Sreenath Bhasi in the incident and that he was summoned and arrested only as part of the procedures. The actor was questioned by the police last week in connection with the drug case in which gangster Om Prakash is an accused but was later given a clean chit. Sreenath Bhasi was summoned and questioned by the police for meeting OmPrakash in a hotel room.

The aim of the police was to find out if Sreenath Bhasi was involved in drug deal with Omprakash. However, the police are of the view that none of the film stars are involved in the case and the investigation will continue. When Sreenath Bhasi was summoned for questioning in the drug case, he was ready for a blood sample test related to drug abuse, but the police refused to do so.
