KOCHI: The High Court has stated that some statements submitted to the Hema Committee contain sufficient grounds for filing criminal cases. The court also directed that the names of the complainants and survivors should not be disclosed. The court also directed the special investigation team to hide the names of the survivors from the documents, including the FIR.

The police can proceed with action based on the findings of the Hema Committee. The court stated that a case can be registered if sufficient evidence is found in the complaints.

The court directed that documents, including FIRs, should not be uploaded to the police website. Case documents should not be given to anyone other than the complainants. The court also instructed that the accused should be provided case documents only after the charge sheet is submitted. The special investigation team should investigate whether necessary evidence is available to complete the investigation. The special investigation team can proceed with criminal proceedings if there is evidence. If there is no evidence, investigative proceedings must be concluded, the court said.
