PATHANAMTHITTA: Various Hindu organisations have launched open protests against the suspension of spot booking at Sabarimala. Ayyappa Seva Samajam state president Akkeraman Kalidasan Bhattathiripad inaugurated the dharna held at the entrance of Pathanamthitta collectorate. He warned not to assume that everyone will sit idle if devotees do not get darshan facilities. Akkeraman criticized that those who do not have online bookings will have to line up in front of Akshaya centres to offer 'kanikka'. VHP state general secretary VR Rajasekharan, Hindu Aikya Vedi state spokesperson ES Biju and others were present.

The RSS has appointed senior pracharak K Krishnankutty to coordinate the protests being held under the banner of Sabarimala Karma Samithi. He is also the state organization secretary of Ayyappa Seva Samajam. Krishnankutty was the one who coordinated the Nilakkal agitation led by Kummanam Rajasekharan and the anti-Aranmula airport agitation. He also worked on the issue of Aranmula women's entry.

Karma Samithi will conduct campaigns at the national level if the Devaswom Board and the government do not correct the decision regarding spot booking. The samiti will participate in the prayer ceremony to be held at Pandalam Palace. All organisations associated with Sabarimala have been invited to the prayer yajna conducted by the palace executive committee.
