TEL AVIV: A Hezbollah drone attack on a military base in northern Israel killed 4 soldiers and left 60 injured. The incident took place in Binyamina-Giv'at Ada, south of the city of Haifa, on Sunday night local time.

Israel retaliated with airstrikes in northern Lebanon killing 18 people. The blast took place in Aitou, a Christian-majority village in the Zahrat region. An apartment was bombed targeting the Hezbollah leader. It is the first time since the inception of the war that Israel targeted the northern region of Lebanon. At the same time, Hezbollah attacked the Stella Maris Naval Base in Haifa. It is not clear if there is any damage. On Sunday, 51 people were killed in various attacks in southern Lebanon.

If Iran strikes again, the U.S. will soon provide Israel with a THAAD air defence system (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) to intercept ballistic missiles. The Pentagon has stated that it will send 100 skilled soldiers to Israel to operate the system. Top analysts expect Israel to strike Tehran anytime as a payback for last week’s missile attack.
