KANNUR: Widespread protests are taking place against Kannur District Panchayat President PP Divya following the death of ADM Naveen Babu, who was found hanging in his quarters today morning. Youth organisations have come out demanding Divya's resignation. Divya had levelled a bribery allegation against Naveen Babu during the farewell ceremony organised yesterday under the leadership of the Kannur District Collector.

Meanwhile, leftist cyber pages are filled with counter-reactions and justifications in response to the allegations and criticisms against Divya. They are asking what would have happened if the entrepreneur had hanged himself without obtaining the NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the ADM. Left-leaning profiles on social media state that a corrupt person would be labelled as corrupt in public no matter how powerful he is. They added that if Naveen had felt that the allegations against him were false, he could have addressed them through legal means.
