THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Nine bills were considered in eight days in the assembly session convened mainly for legislation. Six bills were passed.
The conference, which began with a reference to those who died in landslides in Wayanad and Kozhikode, passed the Kerala Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2024, the Kerala Industrial Single Window Clearance Boards and Industrial Township Area Development (Amendment) Bill, 2024, the Kerala Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Other Enterprises Facilitation (Amendment) Bill, 2024, the Kerala Public Service Commission (Additional Functions as respects certain Corporations and Companies) Amendment Act, 2024, Non-Resident Keralites' Welfare (Amendment) Bill, 2024, the Kerala Bovine Breeding Bill, 2023.
Resolutions demanding the withdrawal of the 'one nation, one election' concept and withdrawal of the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024 were passed unanimously.
Discussion was allowed on five of the six notices considered by the House under Rule 50. The discussion was held for more than two hours each under four notices that were the ADGP-RSS meeting, Thrissur Pooram disruption incident, Wayanad tragedy and financial crisis.
