KANNUR: More details have come out regarding the farewell ceremony that led to the death of Kannur ADM K Naveen Babu. Kannur District Panchayat President PP Divya had made bribery allegations against Naveen Babu during this farewell ceremony. The ceremony was held under the leadership of the Kannur District Collector after Naveen Babu was transferred as ADM to Pathanamthitta. Notably, Divya attended the event uninvited and raised the allegations.

No one else was invited to the farewell ceremony except revenue staff. There were no media personnel or PRD employees at the event. However, a videographer arrived at the location before Divya's arrival. This videographer fully captured Divya's six-minute speech and exit from the hall. By night, the video was circulated among media personnel and channels. It is alleged that this was intentionally done to humiliate the ADM to the fullest.

Kannur ADM Naveen Babu was found hanging in his quarters in Pallikkunnu yesterday morning. This tragic event occurred just a day after he was given a farewell under the leadership of the District Collector. During the ceremony, PP Divya had alleged that Naveen had committed irregularities in connection with granting NOC to the petrol pump owned by a man named TV Prashanthan. She stated that she had proper evidence regarding the matter and that she would release it within two days.
