PATHANAMTHITTA: The statement of Kannur district president P P Divya, who openly showered criticisms towards ADM K Naveen Babu, will be taken today. The ADM had later ended his life out of humiliation. The Kannur police will reach Pathanamthitta today for a detailed investigation on Naveen's death. Naveen's body was brought to his native place Pathanamthitta the other day.

A public darshan has been organized this morning. The body will be brought home at Karuvalli in Pathisseri, Malayalapuzha, at around 11:30. He will be laid to rest at 3 pm. The ambulance that left Kannur Pariyaram Medical College Hospital at around 2 am yesterday reached Pathanamthitta Christian Medical Centre at 12 noon. The body was received under the leadership of district collector S Prem Krishnan. Kannur district collector Arun K Vijayan and CPM Kannur District Secretary M V Jayarajan accompanied the body. Leaders of various political parties paid their last respects.
