BUENOS AIRES: In a shocking incident, Liam Payne, 31, the former lead singer of British boy band 'One Direction', has been found dead. According to the police, Payne fell from his third-floor apartment in Buenos Aires and died instantly.

The police doubt that the singer may have jumped from the balcony after consuming alcohol or drugs. The hotel manager after hearing a loud noise at the back of the hotel immediately informed the police.

The singer has previously opened up about his addiction to substances including alcohol and spending time in rehabilitation centres. He was on holiday in Argentina with his girlfriend. Payne’s girlfriend returned home on the 14th of October but he continued the stay.

In 2010, Liam Payne became noticed through the British television competition 'The X Factor'. In a quick span, his band ‘ONE DIRECTION’ took the world by storm. However, he split from the famous band and started doing solo gigs. Payne attended former bandmate Niall Horan's concert in Buenos Aires earlier this month.
