‘Bougainvillea’, the new thriller product from Amal Neerad School of Filmmaking is here in theatres. The film stars Kunchako Boban, Jyothirmayi, and Fahadh Faasil and comes under the genre of psychological thriller. Amal falls into the class of filmmakers who seldom make movies but ensure that the product has all the elements to pack the definite punch. Let’s now delve into the audience's response to ‘Bougainvillea’, on its first day.
Audience Responses:
There are some invigorating performances from the cast. For me, this would be the finest movie to come out from Amal Neerad’s direction. Fahad has lesser screen space while Kunchako and Jyothirmayi filled that void effectively.
Jyothirmayi was the best. The music was gripping and made us stick to our seats waiting for the next scene to unfold.
There is a surprising cameo in the movie. I don’t want to do a spoiler. The movie is very good.
It is a watchable film. Jyothirmayi did good work with her role.
It is a quintessential Amal Neerad film. Nothing new but the movie will easily turn into a hit because of the quality technical work.
After 11 years, Jyothirmayi is back on screen and what a comeback. Never expected such a top performance from her.
People expecting something similar to ‘Bheesma Parvam’ will be disappointed.
Meanwhile few critics on social media have also called ‘Bougainvillea’ an average film, not meeting the essential benchmark of typical Amal Neerad movies.
