KANNUR: PP Divya has expressed pain over the death of Kannur ADM Naveen Babu. This is the first time Divya has responded to the issue. Divya's response came shortly after the CPM leadership removed her from the post of Kannur District Panchayat President. Divya also informed through a press release that she would cooperate with the police investigation.

"I will prove my innocence through legal means. Although my response was a sincere criticism against corruption, I respect the party's stance that some parts of my response should have been avoided. I also uphold the party's decision to remove me from the post of District Panchayat President," Divya stated in the press release.

CPM took action against PP Divya three days after the death of Naveen Babu. The party removed her from the post of District Panchayat President on Thursday night.
