This victory serves as sweet revenge for South Africa, who lost to Australia in the previous final. Australia, seeking their fourth consecutive title, were comprehensively beaten. South Africa secured an effortless 8-wicket win with 16 balls remaining.

Chasing a target of 135 runs, the South African women's team secured a comfortable victory, thanks to Anneke Bosch's scintillating unbeaten 74 off 48 deliveries.
