THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that Kerala will continue to receive rainfall in the coming days. A cyclonic circulation is located over the central East Arabian Sea. It is likely to intensify into a low-pressure area within the next 12 hours and may move away from the Indian coast in subsequent days.
A cyclonic circulation is likely to form over the North Andaman Sea by October 20. It may intensify into a low-pressure area by October 22 over the central Bay of Bengal and further strengthen into a deep depression by October 24. Kerala is likely to experience light to moderate rain over the next week. The IMD has forecast light rain in isolated areas of Palakkad, Malappuram, and Kozhikode districts within the next 3 hours.
The IMD has informed that isolated places in Kerala are likely to experience rain accompanied by thunderstorms from October 18 to 22.
