THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian meteorological department predicted the chances of rainfall in Kerala for the coming three hours. Moderate rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds with a speed of less than 40 km per hour will reach Kerala soon.
Idukki, Palakkad, Malappuram and Wayanad districts are under warning due to low pressure over the Central East Arabian Sea. The Indian Meteorological Department has also forecast the probability of rain continuing for the next five days. A yellow alert has already been announced in Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts today.

Meanwhile, the National Oceanographic Research Center has issued an orange alert in all the coastal districts of Kerala. Kallakadal phenomenon is also likely in these regions.
