KANNUR: The Revenue Department has initiated a probe into the death of ADM Naveen Babu. Land Revenue Joint Commissioner A Geetha visited the Kannur Collectorate and recorded the statement of Collector Arun Vijayan. A Geetha was assigned for further investigation in the context of allegations against the Collector in connection with Naveen Babu's death.

It was the Collector who submitted the preliminary investigation report on the incident. Geetha examined the movement of files related to the petrol pump NOC. She also recorded the statements of the staff from the ADM's office. Evidence collection will continue in the coming days. She will submit the investigation report while camping in Kannur.
