THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president K Surendran has indirectly invited Congress leader K Muraleedharan to join BJP. Surendran also asked why K Muraleedharan is continuing in Congress after enduring insult. "I have only sympathy for Muraleedharan. K Muraleedharan is asking for votes for the person who insulted his own mother," K Surendran alleged.
Meanwhile, Ramesh Chennithala said that K Muraleedharan would not leave Congress and go to BJP. He added that the person who invited Muraleedharan to join the BJP made a mistake. Chennithala said that Congress's fight in Palakkad is with the Left. "Rahul Mamkootathil will win Palakkad with a good majority. Not even E Sreedharan could win. No other candidate is relevant," he said.
Earlier, Congress leader K Muraleedharan had mocked that the BJP candidate in Palakkad was not interested in votes but in notes. "It is a political contest in Palakkad. BJP members themselves say that there is a possibility of BJP going to the third position there. People's participation in the roadshow of Dr P Sarin, the Left candidate in Palakkad, will not translate into votes," Muraleedharan said. He was speaking to the media in Malappuram.
