GURUVAYUR: The Guruvayur temple received a treasury revenue of Rs 6,84,37,887 over the last month. The temple also received 2 kilograms, 826 grams, and 700 milligrams of gold, along with 24 kilograms and 20 grams of silver. A total of 128 notes of the discontinued ₹2,000 denomination, 41 notes of ₹1,000, and 96 notes of ₹500 were found in the temple donation box. Rs 3,35,582 reached the temple's bank account through E-Hundi in the east entrance. The counting was carried out by the Union Bank branch.
Meanwhile, Guruvayur Devaswom has 869.20 kg of gold in four investment schemes. It is also mentioned in the RTI document that the Devaswom received Rs 7.05 crore as interest in the last financial year. Besides gold deposits, 141.63 kg of gold is currently with the Devaswom for daily use and other purposes.
