MUMBAI: The Kshetriya Karni Sena has announced a reward of Rs 1.11 crore for any police officer who kills dreaded gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Karni Sena National President Raj Shekhawat announced in a video that a reward of Rs 1,11,11,111 will be offered to any police officer who kills Lawrence Bishnoi. Shekhawat also stated in the video that the humongous money was decided as a reward, also to ensure tightened security for the police officer, willing to do the daring act.

Last December, Rohit Godara, an associate of Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the murder of Karnisena leader Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. It was in this background that Karni Sena decided to put a bounty on Lawrence Bishnoi.

Gogamedi was shot in the head and chest. He was rushed to the hospital, but his life could not be saved. One of the assailants was also killed in the firing by Gogamedi’s security personnel. Rohit Godara of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility through a Facebook post.

In the latest video, Shekhawat divulged the issue and called Gogamedi a gem, who had to give up his life for Lawrence Bishnoi. Bishnoi is currently lodged in Gujarat's Sabarmati Jail. Lawrence Bishnoi is reportedly linked to the April 2024 conspiracy to kill Bollywood actor Salman Khan outside his house and the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique.
