TEL AVIV: Israel said it has declassified intelligence on the presence of a hidden Hezbollah bunker beneath a hospital in Beirut, Lebanon. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said the bunker contained hundreds of millions of dollars in cash and gold. The fund for operations of Hezbollah is found from this.

The revelation comes after Israeli airstrikes on Sunday targeted Hezbollah financial centers. ‘Hassan Nasrallah's bunker has hundreds of thousands of dollars of gold and cash belonging to Hezbollah. The bunker is located under Al-Sahel Hospital in the heart of Beirut,’ said IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari.

‘The Israeli forces have not yet attacked the newly discovered bunker. According to estimates suggest that half of the billion dollars is held in cash and the rest in gold. This money will be enough to rebuild Lebanon," Hagari said.

On Sunday, Israel attacked about 30 Hezbollah centers. This includes al-Qad al-Hasan, one of Hezbollah's financial institutions. The organization was registered as a charity. However, Israel and the US accuse it of being one of Hezbollah's main financial sources.

Hagari also stated that the army mainly targeted the underground vault containing millions of dollars in cash and gold. He said that more airstrikes can be expected targeting the organization's financial centers.

Hagari also allegedd that the Lebanese people and the Iranian regime are Hezbollah's two main sources of income. The group uses financial mechanisms including cash transfers through Syria and gold smuggled into Lebanon through Iran. The factories run by Hezbollah in Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Turkey fund the group's terrorist activities.

Israel launched an airstrike in Syria yesterday, targeting the head of Hezbollah's financial unit, known as Unit 4400. It is this unit that funnels Iranian funds to Hezbollah. Hagari revealed that the unit's commander had been killed in the attack.

In the first week of October, the former head of Hezbollah's financial operations, Mohammed Jafar Ksir, also known as Sheikh Salah, was killed by Israeli forces.
