For many, the dream of flying at least once in their lifetime is often held back by financial constraints. The common belief is that air travel requires a substantial budget, leaving many to forego the experience due to the high cost of tickets.
However, a young man named Srihari Rajesh has shattered this notion by sharing his own budget-friendly air travel experience, spending just ₹800 on a flight. Srihari travelled from Kochi to Salem and documented his journey in a video posted on Instagram. The video has gone viral, amassing around eight million views and receiving over 250,000 likes. The post has sparked widespread interest, with many users flooding the comments section with questions about the flight and tips on how to find similar deals.
In the video, Srihari explains, "I flew from Kochi to Salem for just ₹800. There’s a flight from Nedumbassery Airport to Salem, Tamil Nadu. Typically, the ticket costs around ₹1000 but by using a coupon, I was able to reduce the price to ₹800. This is a great option for those who have never flown before and want to experience it on a budget."
He also addresses the question many viewers had—what to see in Salem. Srihari suggests visiting Yercaud, a beautiful hill station just an hour's bus ride from Salem. He describes it as a smaller version of Kodaikanal, perfect for a peaceful getaway and recommends staying at TTDC's accommodations for a comfortable stay.
