ANKARA: Shocking CCTV visuals of a terrorist attack on a strategically important defence centre in Turkey have come out. Five people were killed and 22 were injured in the attack carried out by terrorists. Several are in critical condition. The attack occurred at the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) facility, located 40 kilometres from Ankara, the capital city of Turkey.
The visuals showed two attackers, a man and a woman, opening fire indiscriminately at everyone in sight. The attackers launched the assault after carrying out a massive explosion at the company's headquarters. According to reports, a group of terrorists had burst into the building, one of whom "blew himself up". The gunfire continued for a long period. The terrorists arrived at TAI in a stolen vehicle, after shooting and killing the driver. The driver was one of the five victims of the attack.
No one has taken responsibility for the attack so far. Military centres hint that Kurdish militants may be behind the attack. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan described the attack on the defence firm as a 'condemnable' attack.
