THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In the investigation report given by the Joint Commissioner of Land Revenue regarding the death of ADM Naveen Babu, serious remarks were made against Kannur district Panchayat Former President PP Divya.

The inquiry report has been handed over to the government. According to the report, there is no evidence that Naveen Babu took the bribe and the approval of the petrol pump was not delayed. It also says that Divya did not cooperate with the investigation and she even contrived to film the video of her admonishing the ADM in the function and later circulate it in the public domain. It is indicated that Divya was not invited to the function. Statements were taken from 17 people including the collector. No one admitted to knowing about the ADM’s purported corruption raised by Divya.

It is reported that ADM followed all norms in issuing the NOC to the pump owner. Not only did he not delay, he also tried to help the applicant. The report also states that the ADM sought the report of the town planning department.

Meanwhile, Divya's controversial speech during the farewell ceremony was read out in court. Divya stated that her words were intended to change the working culture of ADM Naveen Babu. The court verdict on her anticipatory bail plea will come on 29th October.
