THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Madhani's influence among the Muslim minorities nurtured after the collapse of Babri Masjid, said CPM leader P Jayarajan. He alleged that Abdul Nasser Madhani nurtured the organization in Kerala on the RSS model and organized lecture series in a manner that fostered terrorist thinking throughout Kerala. In the book 'Keralam, Muslim Rashtreeyam-Rashtreeya Islam' written by Jayarajan and published by Mathrubhumi Books, Muslim extremism is mentioned in the context of Islamic State and Madhani.
The book says that due to Madhani’s Kerala tour, youths were attracted to terrorism and that is why people describe Madhani as the ambassador of Muslim terrorism. Jayarajan also alleged that the People's Democratic Party (PDP) was formed with more extensive plans when the ISS was disbanded when there was criticism from within its own community.
The role of ISS and RSS in the Poonthura riots is clear. The slogans and speeches in the ISS march staged to Thiruvananthapuram Airport were extremely provocative. Justice Arvindaksha Menon Commission, which investigated the Poonthura riots, aasserted in its inquiry report that there was a huge stockpile of weapons in the area, which the police could not find. In Jonaka Poonthura, where Hindus live, ISS also launched violent plans', said P Jayarajan.
The book also mentioned that the radical Muslim sentiments initiated by Madhani were bound up in him. CPM state committee member P Jayarajan is currently also the chairman of the Khadi Board.
