KANNUR: A special police team has been entrusted to investigate the death of ADM Naveen Babu. The investigation will be under the leadership of Kannur city police commissioner Ajith Kumar. Kannur range DIG will directly monitor the investigation. The order of this was released as per the directive of ADGP Manoj Abraham, in charge of law and order.

The team has six officials. Kannur ACP Raj Kumar, Kannur Town SHO Sreejith Koderi, city SHO Sanal Kumar, sub inspector Reshma and cyber cell sub inspector Sreejith are in the team. The DIG will daily assess the progress of the investigation.

The directive is that the information coming out every day over the death of Naveen Babu, the things that led to his death, things including the phone calls, the allegations leveled against T V Prashanthan who raised the complaint against Naveen Babu, the allegations against CPM leader P P Divya, etc. should be examined in detail. A high-level police team was entrusted to investigate Naveen Babu's death as the family decided to move legally.
