KOZHIKODE: KPCC president K Sudhakaran in an acerbic statement, threatened the rebels of graver consequences if Congress faces defeat in Chevayur Cooperative Bank elections. Sudhakaran said the party won’t allow the rebels to live happily in the area in case of a congress defeat. He was speaking at the inauguration of the Chevayur Cooperative Bank Election Convention.

K SUDHAKARAN:

“Some people have made a deal to destroy the congress party. Just remember that you won’t be allowed to live in this area if Congress faces defeat. Better make a wise choice on whether you want your life or political gains. They are disloyal to the party. They are ready to offer jobs to BJP and Communists but not to the hardworking congress workers. We won’t allow the trend to continue.

Chevayur Cooperative Bank will not be converted into another Karuvannur Bank. The move to wrest control over the bank with the help of LDF will falter. Those who stabbed us from behind will not be spared.”

Recently, 53 Congress leaders resigned from the party office in protest against the suspension of Chevayur Cooperative Bank Chairman GC Prashanth. Allegations were rife about the District Congress President selecting candidates and office-bearers considering only personal interests.
