SRINAGAR: Another terrorist attack on army convoys in Jammu and Kashmir. Shooting took place in Jogwan area of Akhnoor tehsil yesterday. Five soldiers were injured. Army sources said that three terrorists were killed in the ensuing encounter. Arms and ammunition were seized. The fight is still continuing.

Three terrorists opened fire on an army vehicle at 7.30 am yesterday. The incident took place near the Shivassan temple in Jogwan. The security forces immediately cordoned off the area and retaliated. The incident took place at a time when elaborate security arrangements have been put in place in the Jammu region as part of Diwali celebrations.

Three soldiers were martyred on Friday in an encounter with terrorists in Gulmarg area of Baramulla. Two porters were also killed. This is the fifth attack in a week.
