PALAKKAD: BJP state president K Surendran said that he is 100 per cent sure that the BJP would win in the by-elections to be held in Kerala. He also said that the decision to postpone the by-election in Palakkad to November 20 will help the BJP.
"Holding the election on the day of Kalpathi Ratholsavam will cause difficulties for the voters of over 17 booths. It would also indirectly affect voters of over 30 booths, especially women. They will be busy with the Ratholsavam till three o'clock. After that, it will be very difficult for them to go to the polling booths," Surendran said.
Surendran reiterated that there are no issues in the BJP related to Sandeep Varier.
"These issues will not affect the BJP anywhere. There's no unresolved issue here. This isn't something that needs to be discussed during the time of election. We aren't giving any importance to it right now," he said.
"The BJP is not a party that makes decisions through discussions in TV rooms. It has a clear system in place for decision-making among its workers. Everyone will understand this on November 23," he added.
