NEW DELHI: The Centre has asked Suresh Gopi to skip film acting for the time being as he is serving as the Minister of State. The Center also directed him to focus on his own constituency and work actively. Reports said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have not taken a favorable stand on his film career. With this, Suresh Gopi is in a dilemma as he cannot continue films he had committed.

The pictures of Suresh Gopi's new look had gone viral on social media the other day. The actor had to shave his beard which he grew for his new film Ottakkomban and this had led to discussions. Suresh Gopi had earlier said that the shooting of the film will start in September. This was earlier announced as Suresh Gopi's 250th film. The fans are eagerly waiting to know what will happen to his Ottakkomban.

Former Lok Sabha General Secretary PDT Achari had told a media that it is not possible for a person holding the post of union minister to do other work as per the code of conduct. He said ministership should be seen as a full-time job. With this, reports are also coming that the films committed by Suresh Gopi may not continue. The minister of state has not yet responded on Centre's decision.

The actor had earlier said that film is his passion and if there is no film, he would die.
