PALAKKAD: V K Sreekandan MP responded to the allegation of Congress leaders bringing back money to the hotel. While talking to a media, he said clothes were in the trolley bag of UDF candidate Rahul Mangootathil and that he had seen it.

The MP said that he is ready for a lie-detector test. Sreekandan asked how the footage captured by the police was released through CPM source and whether the police handed it over to them.

The CPM yesterday released new footage in connection with the incident. The visuals outside the KPM Hotel were circulated. The video shows Rahul and Feni coming out of the hotel. Feni Nainan is seen bringing a blue trolley bag and another bag and later is seen keeping it in a white Innova Crysta parked outside. At this time Rahul came near it. Fenny Nainan is later seen going in the car. Rahul enters in another grey car parked nearby. The CPM's argument is that if it was a bag with clothes, why didn’t Rahul get into the car which carried the bag.

Meantime, Congress women leaders filed a complaint to the state police chief on the midnight search at KPM Hotel. KPCC political affairs committee member advocate Shanimol Usman and Bindu Krishna filed a complaint with the DGP. The complaint alleged that the police tried to enter the rooms of women leaders without female cops and that the police intervened without following the rules. They also demanded a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
