THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The service of the Baiyappanahalli Terminal (SMVT)-Thiruvananthapuram North (Kochuveli) special weekly train has been extended till January 29 due to the Sabarimala and Christmas rush. The online reservation till January 8 of the train via Kottayam, has started. The special train with 16 AC three-tier and 2 sleeper coaches will be charged an additional 30% ticket fare. The service will be operated from Kochuveli on Tuesdays and from Bengaluru on Wednesdays.

The special train was allotted a one-minute stop at Ettumanoor. The other stops are K.R. Puram, Bangarpet, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Pothannoor, Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Changanassery, Thiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikkara, Kayamkulam and Kollam.
