THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: E P Jayarajan will give an explanation to the CPM state secretariat convened today on the autobiography controversy. Jayarajan has reached Thiruvananthapuram to attend the party meeting. When journalists asked whether there was any cheating, he replied, ‘I will meet you when the need arises’.
EP is attending the CPM state secretariat meeting for the first time after being removed from the post of LDF convener. Jayarajan had yesterday responded that the news in connection with his autobiography is fake.
It is learnt that the CPM has not taken EP's words that there was a conspiracy behind the incident at face value. The party assessed that EP's claim that he will complete his autobiography and publish it with the party's consent as baseless.
Although he has filed a complaint with the DGP against DC Books for revealing 'things he did not write', EP has not given a clear answer on whether he will entrust them with publishing the autobiography.
Meantime, the CPM may also seek an explanation from Raghunath, the Kannur bureau chief of the party newspaper, tasked to proof-read his autobiography. How the contents of the autobiography came to light, will also be enquired.
