PALAKKAD: Several people were injured after a private bus overturned near Kongad in Palakkad on Friday night. According to reports, no one was seriously injured in the accident.

The accident occurred at around 7.50 on Friday night. The private bus, which was travelling from Palakkad to Cherpulassery, overturned in Parassery on the Kongad-Cherpulassery road.

Soon after learning about the accident, locals, Fire Force department and police rushed to the spot and carried out rescue efforts. The injured people have been admitted to various hospitals in Palakkad.
