nayanthara

Several actresses, including Nazriya, Parvathy Thiruvoth, Anupama Parameswaran, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Meera Nandan, Anna Ben and Isha Talwar, have voiced their solidarity with Nayanthara on issue with Dhanush, expressing their support by liking and commenting on her post. Among them are actresses who have shared the screen with Dhanush in the past. Additionally, Nayanthara's husband, Vignesh Sivan, also showed his support by liking the post.

The controversy centers around Nayanthara's claims regarding the exclusion of content from her 2015 hit film 'Naanum Rowdy Than' in her documentary. In an Instagram post, Nayanthara revealed that Dhanush, the film's producer, had refused to issue a No Objection Certificate (NOC), preventing the inclusion of popular songs and scenes from the film. Despite two years of requests, Dhanush allegedly denied permission to use any material, including photographs, citing personal grievances.

Nayanthara further criticized Dhanush for his actions, claiming that his refusal to allow the use of footage was driven by personal animosity. She stated, "The songs from the film were some of the best to include in my documentary but it had to be abandoned due to your refusal, stemming from your personal grudge."

Additionally, Nayanthara expressed shock at the legal notice she received after the release of the documentary trailer. Dhanush is reportedly demanding Rs 10 crore in compensation for just three seconds of behind-the-scenes footage shot using his equipment. Nayanthara vowed to address the matter legally.

In her post, she also remarked on Dhanush's alleged ego issues, saying, "The fact that the film was a huge blockbuster took a toll on your ego. You walk in front of the world with your face covered. The world belongs to everyone." She concluded by advising, "One who has no film tradition should understand that achieving great success is good. Let those you know come forward in life."
