nayanthara

Actress Nayanthara, who publicly criticized actor Dhanush on social media, is facing severe cyberattacks. Hashtags in support of Dhanush have already appeared on social media. The controversy is related to Nayanthara and director Vignesh Sivan's marriage documentary 'Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale'. With this, Nayanthara posted an open letter on social media.

The actress also criticized that she had to wait for two years to get NoC to add some scenes from her film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, a film produced by Dhanush and starring Nayanthara. After this, the campaign criticizing Nayanthara and supporting Dhanush became stronger on social media. Actors like Parvathy Thiruvoth, Anupama Parameswaran, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Nazriya and Shruti Haasan, who have acted with Dhanush, expressed their support to Nayanthara the other day. Although Tamil actresses including Shruti Haasan supported her, the campaign is that only Malayalam actresses are supporting her. Dhanush has not yet responded on the issue.

Nayanthara’s letter says
This is an open letter to correct the wrong things. A good actor like you should read and understand this. Cinema is the struggle for survival of people like me. I am a self-made woman who had no connection with the film industry. The release of the documentary was awaited not only by me, but also by my fans. Your revenge on me and my partner affects not only us, but also the people who worked on this project. The documentary also includes memorabilia from the films, not including the most important film 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan'. Waited for two years to get NoC from you.

I was heartbroken when I was denied multiple requests to use songs or visual cuts from the film. It is painful to know that personal hatred towards us is to be fulfilled. Shocked by your lawyer's notice after the trailer of the documentary was released. Rs 10 crore was demanded as compensation for just three seconds. I wish you were half the person you portray on stage at audio launches in front of your innocent fans, but clearly, you do not practice what you preach, at least not with me and my partner. Can a producer become a dictator who controls the lives of every person on set? Your refusal may be justified in court. Reminds me that there is a moral aspect to it. It will have to be confessed in the court of God. One remains vile in front of the world wearing a mask. You will tell the next audio launch by making up fake stories and adding punch lines. Remember that God sees that too.
