PALAKKAD: BJP State President K Surendran has alleged that opposition leader VD Satheesan held meetings with leaders of a banned terrorist organization in the country. Addressing a press conference in Palakkad, Surendran claimed that Satheesan also engaged in discussions with the family members of the accused in the two murders that led to the ban on PFI.
Surendran criticized the Congress party, accusing it of conducting widespread notice campaigns in the name of SDPI, the political wing of the PFI. He alleged that the Congress, along with the UDF, is allying with terrorist forces in a desperate bid to win elections. "Will VD Satheesan explain the purpose behind forming the Green Army?" Surendran questioned.
The BJP leader further stated that the Popular Front of India and Jamaat-e-Islami have publicly declared their support for the UDF. "Congress offices are filled with PFI leaders, and the UDF continues to employ communal tactics similar to those seen in the last elections. The LDF is no different, as they are collaborating with Ma’dani's party," he said.
Surendran also made sharp remarks about the Congress leadership, claiming that the party has fallen under the influence of divisive groups. He referred to Satheesan as "Kandakashani" and hinted at an internal power struggle within the Congress after Shafi Parambil emerged as a prominent leader.
Surendran's remarks also touched upon BJP’s strategic approach, with a special mention of Sandeep Warrier's visit to Panakkad. "We will wait and see the outcome of the elections," he concluded.
