PATHANAMTHITTA: The police have intensified investigation into the death of Ammu, a fourth-year student of Chuttippara SME Nursing College. The family alleged the death as mysterious. Ammu S Sajeev of Thiruvananthapuram jumped from the hostel building last Friday. She died while she was brought to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital from Pathanamthitta General Hospital.

Her father Sajeev had earlier filed a complaint with the nursing college principal that some of her classmates were mentally harassing his daughter. The police will visit the college today to record the statements of the principal and teachers to know the steps taken on the complaint. Ammu's mobile phone will be subjected to scientific examination. The three classmates facing the allegations will be questioned in detail.

Her family alleged that Ammu had to face severe mental harassment from three of her classmates. These students constantly created problems in the class and hostel. They also opposed Ammu's appointment as tour coordinator. Pointing this, the family alleged her death as mysterious. Police said she had a fight with them in the class on the day she jumped from the hostel building. The warden said that Ammu jumped from the building as soon as she reached the hostel. The police have also collected CCTV footage from the hostel.
