KOLLAM: The tyres of a KSRTC bus got detached from its axle in a vehicle accident. The accident happened at around 7 am Monday at Pulamon in Kottarakkara, Kollam. A speeding Scorpio car coming from the opposite direction hit the rear of the bus near the diesel tank.

After seeing the Scorpio coming from the opposite direction in high speed, the driver slowed his vehicle to one side, but the car hit the rear tyre. The impact of the collision caused four tyres, including the axle, to detach from the vehicle.

The front and right sides of the Scorpio have been completely damaged in the accident. The front wheel of the car also was detached. None of the bus passengers sustained any injuries. Th car was carrying medical students. They are reported to have been seriously injured.
