PALAKKAD: Kottikalasam in Palakkad assembly constituency bringing an end to the hectic public campaign. After a day of silent campaigning tomorrow, the voters of the constituency will write their verdict on Wednesday. Along with the candidates of all three main fronts, prominent leaders also came to kottikalasam, which was a source of excitement for the activists. Accompanied by a massive roadshow, the city was turning into a crowd.

The campaigning period in the constituency, where there is a strong triangular contest, was full of controversies, allegations and counter-allegations. The midnight raid at KPM Residency is what led to the biggest controversy in connection with the election campaign. P Sarin's exit from the party and becoming the left candidate after Rahul's candidature, and BJP leader Sandeep Warrier joining the Congress after falling out with C Krishnakumar were some of the political developments during the campaign.

UDF candidate Rahul Mankoottathil, Shafi Parambil, PC Vishnunath and actor Ramesh Pisharody attended the roadshow and kottikalasam. Rahul and his party workers came to the kottikalasam with a blue trolley bag. Sandeep Warrier, who quit the BJP and joined the Congress, also participated in the event.

Minister MB Rajesh, MP and DYFI All India president AA Rahim and V Wasif were also present with candidate P Saran for the roadshow. BJP candidate C Krishnakumar, K Surendran, Sobha Surendran and Thushar Vellappally were also present.
