CHENNAI: Dhanush has again sent a legal notice to Nayanthara against the escalation of the fight following the open letter. According to the notice, the three-second scene from the film 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' used in the documentary should be withdrawn within 24 hours or else the impact will be huge. The move by Dhanush's lawyers comes at a time when Dhanush is maintaining silence on the controversy. If the footage is not removed, the impact will not be limited to Rs 10 crore, the notice said.

Meanwhile, Nayanthara had clarified that the scene included in the documentary was shot on her personal phone. Dhanush's lawyer replied: “My client is the producer of the film and they know where they have spent each penny for the production of the film. Your client has stated that my client has not commissioned any person to shoot the behind-the-scenes footage and the said statement is baseless."

Dhanush was the producer of 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' directed by Vignesh Shivan and starring Nayanthara in the lead role. Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan fell in love on the sets of the film. That's why the marriage documentary mentions the film. Permission was sought from the production company to include a song from the film in the documentary but it was not received.

When the trailer of the documentary was released, Dhanush sent a notice to Nayanthara pointing out that the use of visuals from 'Naan Rowdy Dhaan' in the trailer was a copyright infringement. Meanwhile, Nayanthara says that the scenes that have already been circulated on the internet were used in the trailer. Dhanush had demanded Rs 10 crore for three seconds of footage.

Dhanush's father Kasthuri Raja responds

Meanwhile, Dhanush's father Kasthuri Raja has reacted to the controversy. Kasthuri Raja said Nayanthara's claim that she communicated with Dhanush for two years to use the songs and visuals from the film 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' is false. "Dhanush is busy with his upcoming films. He has no time to react to Nayanthara's claims." Kasthuri Raja also claimed that he was not aware of the romance between Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara.
