THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that Kerala will receive light to moderate rainfall in the coming hours. According to the IMD, isolated places in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha districts of Kerala are likely to receive light rainfall in the next three hours.
A cyclonic circulation is located above the Comorin region. Another cyclonic circulation is situated near the Kerala coast in the southeast Arabian Sea. As a result, Kerala is likely to receive moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms for the next five days.
A cyclonic circulation is likely to form over the southern Andaman Sea by November 21. By November 23, it may intensify into a low-pressure area over the southeastern Bay of Bengal. Within the next two days, it may move and intensify into a severe low-pressure area over the southwestern Bay of Bengal.
The IMD warned that isolated places in Kerala are likely to receive rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms on November 20 and 21.
