THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister Saji Cherian has responded to the High Court order in the anti-Constitution remark case. He said that he would not resign from the cabinet in the name of the High Court order directing a further probe into the case.

"The police investigated the case and the lower court issued an order after considering the report submitted by the police. Later, one person filed a plea in the High Court demanding a CBI probe. What specific aspects of the case did the court order the Crime Branch to investigate further? Let the investigation officers conduct a probe as per the court order and submit a report. Since it was an issue related to me, naturally the court should have heard my part as well. I will proceed legally in the matter," Saji Cherian said.

"In 2022, I resigned on moral grounds. Later, that moral issue was resolved after the court acquitted me. I then became a minister again and am now discharging my duties," he added.
