THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A microphone developed a technical snag again when Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was attending an event. The incident happened at the MPs meet convened at Thycaud Guest House in the capital city in connection with the relief works of Chooralmala landslide in Wayanad. But this time the chief minister handled the issue lightly. The chief minister's comment, ‘wherever I go, there's a problem with the microphone,’ made everyone laugh.

Meantime, the chief minister strongly criticized the Center for not providing the financial assistance deserving to the affected area. The chief minister openly said that the Centre is showing negligence towards Kerala. The Center had helped in providing various forces during the Wayanad disaster. But the deserved disaster assistance is being delayed. Protests should be expressed over this. The Chooralmala disaster was one of the biggest disasters in the country.

Kerala's borrowing limit has been cut short. The state's needs were accurately informed to the Center. The chief minister clarified that assistance of 1222 crores including the upcoming expenses was requested. The chief minister criticized the Center in harsh language in his introductory speech at the meeting of MPs from Kerala. The government's stance is that Kerala should unite and put pressure on the Central Government for central assistance.
