THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Central Meteorological Department has informed that there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning in Kerala for the next five days. It has also warned that there is a possibility of heavy rain in isolated places on November 26.

A cyclonic circulation is located over South Kerala. A cyclonic circulation has formed over the South Andaman Sea. It is likely to strengthen as a low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal tomorrow.

It will reach the Southwest Bay of Bengal in the next two days and strengthen as an extreme low pressure area. In this situation, there is a possibility of rain in the state for the next five days. The Central Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in various districts.

A yellow alert has been issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Idukki, Ernakulam and Thrissur districts on the 26th. The possibility of isolated heavy rain is predicted. Heavy rain is defined as a situation where 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rain is received in 24 hours.

The Indian Meteorological Department has informed that fishing should not be done along the Kerala and Lakshadweep coasts on the 26th. There is a possibility of strong winds and bad weather with a speed of 35 to 45 kmph and at times up to 55 kmph along the south Kerala and Lakshadweep coasts on the 26th.
