THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will hold a discussion with those protesting in Munambam on the Waqf land issue tomorrow. Officials, including Ernakulam Collector, will also participate in the discussion which will be held at 4 pm tomorrow. During the meeting, the Chief Minister is expected to request the strike committee to call off the protest. He will assure the protesters that no one will be forced to leave their land.
Earlier today, the government had decided to appoint a judicial commission headed by Justice CN Ramachandran Nair in the Munambam Waqf land issue. Speaking at a press conference, ministers K Rajan, P Rajeev and V Abdurahiman said that no one would be evicted from Munambam. The ministers announced the crucial decision after a high-level meeting on the Munambam issue.
