THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Ramakrishna Pillai (65) collapsed and died upon hearing the news of his younger brother Hari’s sudden demise. Hari (59), a resident of Jayaharitham, Koduman, passed away due to a heart attack while undergoing treatment for a varicose vein-related condition.

The bond between the brothers, who were former expatriates, was well-known. They lived separately with their families but remained deeply connected. Both had already lost their parents.

Ramakrishna Pillai was immediately rushed to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College after collapsing, but despite medical efforts, his life could not be saved.

Ramakrishna’s daughter’s engagement was scheduled for December 6. Hari’s funeral was held in the morning at Shanthi Kavadam, while Ramakrishna’s final rites were conducted in the afternoon at the family’s house compound.
