THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned fishermen not to venture into the sea off the Kerala coast from today till November 29. The IMD has said that fishermen should not venture into those areas as the deep depression over southwest Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm during the next 12 hours and move towards Tamil Nadu coast from Sri Lanka coast.
Strong winds with speed reaching 35-45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph are likely along and off south Kerala coast from today to the 29th. Bad weather is also possible.

From 27/11/2024 to 30/11/2024: Fishermen should not venture into the sea on the aforesaid dates as there is a possibility of strong winds and inclement weather conditions along and off North - South Tamil Nadu coast, Gulf of Mannar, Kanyakumari region, Andhra Pradesh coast, southwest Bay of Bengal and central west Bay of Bengal.
01/12/2024: Fishermen should not venture into the sea on the aforesaid dates as there is a possibility of strong winds and inclement weather conditions along and off north Tamil Nadu coast, south Tamil Nadu coast, Gulf of Mannar and Kanyakumari region.
The fishermen who went to sea should return to the coast from the deep sea as soon as possible.
